Larousse Pratique: The Practical A-Z Cookbook

laroussepratique1551This is a smaller version of ‘Larousse Gastronomique’, which I have recommended elsewhere.  This version is a modern approach to the same information, with many photographs and more recipes than its parent book.  It is very handy, with listings alphabetically by main ingredient, and supplementary information ranging from nutrition values to the use of appliances.

This is a good book, but it is really only a lesser version of the ‘Larousse Gastronomique’; every cook should have one or the other in their library.  If you don’t own either, opt for the bigger book – you won’t regret it.
