A Step-By-step Guide to Cake Decorating for Australia
March 22, 2009
This book could be subtitled ‘Cake Decoration 101′, as it takes a very straightforward approach to teaching the basics of cake decorating. As such, it seems fairly well laid out, with precise instructions and detailed illustrations, covering all the fundamentals and some more-advanced techniques. It’s Australian pedigree only shows in some of the design elements; Oz flowers and birds are occasionally referenced.
Unfortunately most of the designs are hopelessly corny, or outdated. This book collects dust on my bookshelf – I don’t find it very useful, or inspiring, and of course won’t recommend it to you.
